Description

How To Play Stick Figure Sports Badminton

Controller & Keyboard Guide

Player one hops around the court with W, A, S and D, jumping with W and smacking the shuttlecock with the spacebar. Player two gets the arrow keys for footwork and M for swinging the racket, so two people can genuinely sit at one keyboard and go at it without stepping on each other's fingers. Timing matters more than button mashing here — swing too early and you'll whiff, swing late and the shuttle just bounces off weird. Jumping in for a smash feels great once you get the rhythm down, but it also leaves you exposed if you misjudge the arc.

There's no elaborate backstory, just a bunch of wobbly stickman athletes squaring off on a badminton court, which honestly fits the whole retro, no-frills vibe the game is going for. The physics on the shuttlecock actually behave with a bit of weight and drift to them, so shots curve and drop in ways that reward paying attention rather than just spamming swings. Between rounds you'll notice random pickups floating in — a bigger racket, a fireball shot, a speed boost — plus the occasional slow debuff that throws your rhythm off completely. It's silly, a little chaotic, and clearly built for quick matches rather than deep strategy, though the CPU on Hard mode will punish you if you get careless.

Highlights

  • Choose between 1 Player against the CPU or 2 Player local matches for couch competition
  • Pick Normal or Hard difficulty when facing the computer opponent
  • Set match length to 5, 7, or 9 sets depending on how long you want the rivalry to run
  • Grab boosters like the oversized racket, fireball smash, and speed increase mid-match
  • Watch out for the slowdown debuff, which can flip momentum in an instant
  • Simple stickman visuals keep the focus on timing and shot placement instead of clutter
